I flew to Buenos Aires from London recently, at 10.30 pm. I sat, buckled-up, Night Nursed myself appropriately, and lowered my eye-mask on a late-night Gatwick runway. 14 hours later, or one very decent night’s sleep, I woke up to a chilly but sunny BA morning and I was reminded, as I am always reminded on long haul flights: the world is just one sleep away.
Great big planes aren’t the only things that makes the world seem smaller. Look how quickly we have taken for granted the ability to organise a conference in Tokyo from a New York desk. From one small screen you can see and book the venue, organise the menu, and communicate easily with your delegates. BUT there is one small hitch: as every event professional knows nothing beats some local knowledge and an established network of trusted suppliers that you can rely on to bring your vision to life. And there’s the rub. The world may be smaller, and there may be lots of great big planes, but you can’t be EVERYWHERE at once, and you can’t know EVERYTHING. Even Professor Stephen Hawking didn’t know everything (mostly everything).
Similarly, if you are a supplier in Seoul how can you make sure that the conference being organised by a planner in Chicago knows of your expertise? This is where EventBuddy can help. EventBuddy is the free planning and project management tool that was designed for Event Planners everywhere, to take the stress out of event planning. So far so great, but how does this help Heart & Seoul, Korea’s best kept Event Floristry secret? Because the team behind EventBuddy are city experts that you can call on, anytime, with any event brief – big OR small – and they can help. Need three venue suggestions in Copenhagen for an intimate dinner? You’ve got it. Need after-dinner speakers for your Female Tech Leaders of Tomorrow event in Berlin? We can help.
Whether you are a restaurant in Shanghai or an Event Planner with a few too many boxes to tick today, EventBuddy should be your new best friend. Come say hello.
